PROGRAM FOR 2 DAYS ALAS TREKKING TO TOUBKAL

From Marrakech or Imlil

DAY 1

Marrakech – Imlil – Sidi Chamharouch – Toubkal Refuge

We pick up you in Marrakech and we drive to Imlil - a Berber village 65 km south from Marrakech. Here we will meet the Berber muleteer crew and they care of your baggage and food. An experienced mountain trekking guide will take you on a walk through the Berber villages via the shrine Sidi Chamharouch. We will stop for a picnic lunch and having a short break. We will continue towards the Refuge (3200 m). In the evening a traditional Moroccan meal will be prepared for dinner and during summer months we can spend a night in the tent.

DAY 2

Toubkal Refuge – Summit – Imlil - Marrakech

On the next day we starts the ascent climb at 6 am. After walking uphill for about 3 hours, we will enjoy a picturesque view of all the High Atlas mountains. When reaching the summit, we will have a break and afterwards we return back to the hut, where the lunch will be served. We get back to Imlil following the same route down the hill. From Imlil we transfer you to Marrakech.
