Trekking valley of the roses Morocco: a hike that does not present any physical difficulty. It is also an opportunity to walk with friends or with your children to discover the wealth and cultural traditions of the Berbers of the South Central High Atlas.
Green valleys (the valley of Dades and that of the roses) in an arid dry landscape, Berber villages along the river, beautiful Kasbahs with its beautiful architectures, terraced gardens, oleander forests, fields Roses, walnut trees, fig trees and gorges. Various landscapes: magnificent gorges, pretty gardens, very beautiful villages, fields of roses. The encounter with the inhabitants and the discovery of local customs.
MARRAKECH – COL DE TICHKA – OUARZAZATE – VALLEY OF DADES (326 KM)
Departure around 8am, direction Tichka Pass (2260m); The highest mountain pass in Morocco, magnificent panoramic landscape, after the pass the scenery will be semi desert of the great southern Moroccan south slope. Lunch at Ouarzazate, then continuation towards Kelaa of M'Gouna, before arriving at the valley of the Dades with its beautiful kasbahs. Night in tents. 7 hours drive.
THE VALLEY OF DADES -
Departure of our excursion of the valley of Dades by the crossing by several cultures in terrace then we leave this beautiful valley for a barren landscape during 3 hours, finally we discover the beautiful green valley of M'Goun. Lunch at the edge of the valley in the village Ighrm Aqdim, then again 1h30 walk to reach the village of Aguerzaka, not forgetting to have tennis since we will be forced to cross the river several times. Duration: 5h30 walking, Elevation gain: 500m climb and 400m descent. Night in the tents. To the lodging of stage.
AGERZEGUA -
We leave this valley; Very verdant with its beautiful casbahs and gorges, to climb 300 meters towards the pass that leads us by a forest of junipers towards the valley of Ameskar. Again a beautiful valley of Almdoune, with a hundred houses in the form of adobe casbahs. Lunch in the valleyTemtda, then continuation on a good and great path until the village Alemdoune 1700m. Duration: 5 hours walking Difference in altitude: 400m climb and 300m descent. Night in the tents. To the lodging of stage.
ALMDOUNE / VALLEY EL QUATI -
We descend quietly a valley of oleanders (plan to cross the throats with sandals). Small gorges, but very exotic by its oleanders to arrive at the valley of Elhout with its beautiful kasbahs. A large village with several beautiful houses, Lunch by the river near the village Aznag, we cross then after 1H of walk we arrive the village of Boutarhrar -
BOUTAGHRAR -
A superb walk in the heart of the valley of the roses with its casbahs that become more and more numerous. Fields of roses appear around cereal crops (barley, corn, potato ....). These rose gardens are used for the manufacture of rose products. Descend the valley to the Tourbiste then have Said. Night at HAYAT in his guest house.
AIT SAID -
Transfer by car, direction of Ouarazazat, then the visit of the kasbah of Ben Haddou; Famous for the many films that saw the Day. This 11th century kasbah has been declared World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, then taking advantage of the sumptuous landscapes offered by the Atlas. Arrival in Marrakech. Overnight in hotel with breakfast. 6h30 of road.
