HIKING DJEBEL SAGHRO MOROCCO
Hike djebel Saghro Morocco: The mountain massif of Djebel Saghro is almost unknown in Europe, unlike those of the High Atlas or Middle Atlas. The scenery is not as spectacular as in the other mountains of Morocco, either in terms of the more modest slope of the slopes, or in terms of rivers and oasis valleys less present.
Hike djebel Saghro Morocco: Djebel Saghro extends south of the High Atlas and already forms a zone of contact with the Sahara. Under the angle of the relief and the conditions of the genesis, the Djebel Saghro is the eastern continuation of the Anti-
The Djebel Saghro is still an area occupied mainly by nomads and thus draws the image of inhospitable area to tourism. This massif is at first a destination for hikers. On the one hand, the massif is a privileged place for all the lovers of nature who seek sports crossings; On the other hand, it is very interesting by its geological aspects and by the cultural aspects of the region.
The trails to the Saghro Mountains are suitable for hikers. No mountaineering qualification is necessary to follow these paths; The Djebel Saghro is in the totality of the type of medium mountain easily walkable by the hikers. The Djebel Saghro is a paradise for the hiker! The beginning of our hike of Djebel Saghro is the village Ait Youl near Kalâat M'goun on the valley of Dades.
Observers are fascinated by lucid and clear light, similar to that of the Côte d'Azur and many visitors are passionate about it. The nearly absent vegetation cover gives direct access to a natural landscape naturally appreciated by those interested in shapes and reliefs of an immemorial geological age. Palaeozoic minerals and fossils of great value are a specialty of Jebel Saghro. The Dejbel Saghro is a natural space dating from the Precambrian period. His age concerns the period between 230 million and 570 million years. From this geological antiquity results a rich and attractive lithological diversity. Lovers of stones and fossils collections will find a difficult choice to meet elsewhere.
